Job summary

ALPLA is seeking an Azure & AI Data Architect to design and evolve our enterprise data platform across a global organization. You will shape the Central Data Hub on Azure, implement scalable data integration, and advance governance and security for trusted data and AI applications.

Collaborating with stakeholders worldwide, you will enable AI initiatives using Copilot and Azure AI services, while promoting best practices in data quality, provisioning, and access management.

Qualifications

• University degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
• Extensive experience with Microsoft Azure data services and cloud architectures.
• Strong knowledge of data security, governance, and access management.
• Familiarity with AI technologies and large language models; willingness to learn.
• Experience with ITSM processes and ServiceNow is an advantage.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills in English and German.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and optimize ALPLA's Azure-based Central Data Hub.
• Develop data integration and transformation solutions.
• Manage enterprise-wide data catalog and governance.
• Implement secure data access and protection concepts.
• Onboard internal and external data providers and consumers.
• Ensure data quality, availability, and performance via monitoring and automation.
• Drive continuous improvement of ingestion, storage, and provisioning processes.
• Collaborate with global stakeholders to deliver reliable data solutions.
• Explore and leverage modern AI technologies, including Azure AI services and Copilot.
