Harmattan AI seeks a Flight Control & Dynamics Engineer to advance control laws for a family of airframes, with work based in Lausanne, Paris, or Zurich. You will weigh classical and learning-based methods, perform system identification, design control laws, and ensure sim-to-real transfer across SITL/HITL testing.

This role offers opportunities to mentor teammates and deliver robust flight software in a high‑stakes environment.

Qualifikationen

• Proven hands-on identification and control on multirotor or fixed-wing platforms with flight testing.
• Experience with MPC, INDI, or geometric control.
• Real‑time embedded control on constrained targets (microcontroller + companion computer).
• Familiarity with reinforcement learning and simulation-based training.
• Commitment to Harmattan AI’s mission and high‑impact defense tech.

Aufgaben

• System Identification: design excitation maneuvers and fit airframe models from flight data.
• Control Law Design & Tuning for inner rate and attitude loops across the airframe family.
• Sim-to-Real: ensure in-house simulator mirrors identified model for transfer to hardware.
• Model Consumption: convert aerodynamic derivatives into flying control laws.
• Flight Test & Diagnosis: verify across SITL/HITL and logs; iterate accordingly.
• Mentorship: support and mentor junior control and GNC engineers as needed.
