National Patient Transport (NPT) is Australia’s leading Non‑Emergency Patient Transport provider. We deliver safe, reliable, and compassionate services in partnership with Ambulance Victoria and major health services across the state.

We’re seeking an Area Support Manager based out of Campbellfield to provide operational and people leadership, as well as clinical support across our Metro North‑East branch and surrounding sites. This is a pivotal role ensuring our crews are supported to deliver safe, high‑quality patient care.

The Opportunity

As an Area Support Manager, you will:

Supervise and support road crews across Campbellfield and the North‑East region, ensuring compliance with regulations, contracts, and NPT policy.

Build engagement and morale by maintaining daily communication and conducting regular staff check‑ins.

Coach and support staff to meet performance expectations, addressing issues in a fair and transparent way.

Conduct probationary reviews (1, 3, and 5 months) and ensure new PTOs complete their 100 hours of clinical supervision.

Lead branch engagement activities including toolbox talks, consultative meetings, and staff events.

Provide clinical oversight to crews when required, in line with your qualification and experience.

Oversee branch facilities, fleet, and equipment to ensure safety, compliance, and readiness.

Develop and monitor return‑to‑work plans for injured workers, applying early intervention strategies.

Liaise with the Regional Manager, Duty Managers, Fleet, HR, Rosters, and the Operations Centre to maintain high operational standards.

Complete at least one on‑road shift per month to maintain clinical competency and credibility with crews.

  • Strong computer literacy and the ability to work confidently with workforce systems.

The Details

Role: Full‑time, 76 hours per fortnight.

Location: Based at Campbellfield, supporting Metro North‑East operations.

Reporting to: Regional Manager.

Roster: Primarily weekdays; some after‑hours or weekend work may be required.
