Technical Project Manager
As a Technical Project Manager for the Engineering Team, you will play a critical role in the planning, execution, and successful delivery of complex technical projects and initiatives. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams to ensure that projects are completed on time, within scope, and meet the highest standards of quality. Your primary focus will be on driving the development of technology solutions that enhance our company's services and offerings.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define project objectives, scope, and requirements.
- Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
- Proactively identify potential issues and risks and implement mitigation strategies.
- Monitor project progress and ensure adherence to project schedules.
- Participate in developing release plans (sequencing) with identifiable critical paths, task dependencies, major milestones.
- Focus on quality of deliverables across all releases and highlight any risks.
- Coordinate with the required dependent teams to help the engineering owner tie up all the deliverables and arrive at the launch dates.
- Act as a bridge between engineering, product, design, and other relevant teams to foster effective communication and collaboration.
- Ensure alignment of project goals with the overall engineering strategy.
- Facilitate sprint planning, stand‑up meetings, retrospectives, demos; publish sprint metrics with insights and recommendations; identify and remove impediments.
- Organize demos ahead of releases and ensure relevant signoffs are obtained before the deliverables go live.
- Oversee the allocation of engineering resources, including software developers, QA engineers, and other technical professionals.
- Coordinate with resource managers to ensure the right skill sets are available for project needs.
- Conduct regular quality reviews and ensure that the delivered solutions meet specified criteria; track metrics for development phase and production.
- Identify and assess project risks and create risk mitigation plans; highlight the risks, the schedule and effort variances as and when they occur and help the engineering, product and business owner with enough insights to take informed decisions.
- Provide regular project status updates to leadership and stakeholders.
- Maintain project documentation, including project plans, requirements, and technical specifications.
- Cultivate strong relationships with key stakeholders and understand their business needs; address stakeholder feedback and concerns, adapting project plans as necessary; support the development managers, product and business as necessary during the entire process of planning through delivery (in terms of tooling and visibility).
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field (Master's preferred).
- 8–10 years of proven experience as a Technical Project Manager, particularly within IT services industry.
- Strong understanding of technology, systems, and regulatory compliance.
- Project management certifications (PMP, Scrum, etc.) are a plus.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Adaptability and a willingness to learn about emerging fintech trends and technologies.
