Beacon AI is seeking an experienced engineer to lead cross-team design and build LLM-based features in a hybrid, U.S.-based role. You will own the service layer, develop retrieval and tool-calling flows, and partner with ML/infra and product teams to deliver reliable, cost-conscious AI capabilities for aviation safety-critical applications.

The role emphasizes hands-on coding in Python or TypeScript, system design, and strong emphasis on security, auditing, and operational reliability.

Formación

• 8+ years of engineering experience with ownership of large systems or standards.

Responsabilidades

• Build user-facing LLM features with robust JSON outputs and tool-calling flows.
• Own the service layer, shipping APIs and workers with clear contracts.
• Lead retrieval, embeddings, and indexing capabilities with scalable architectures.
• Establish offline evals and online metrics for quality and cost.
• Implement safety, privacy, and compliance controls across the stack.
