Job summary

Werben HR is seeking a Sr RoR Developer for our Balvanera, CABA area with remote LATAM options. You will document requirements, estimate effort, and autonomously implement tasks using Rails and related tech. Strong communication in English and agile practices are essential.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in Ruby on Rails, Linux/Windows admin, and database experience (SQL and NoSQL). Willingness to travel abroad is required for client engagements.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written English skills.
• 5+ years of experience in software engineering with Ruby on Rails.
• React experience is a plus.
• Linux and/or Windows administration.
• Knowledge of DNS, mail, and Apache.
• Networking concepts, load balancing and firewalls.
• Serverless technologies.
• Jira or similar service desk tools.
• Project management and Agile methodologies.
• Relational databases: MySQL, PostgreSQL; SQL.
• Non-relational databases: MongoDB, Dynamo.
• Willingness to travel abroad.

You will :

• Understand and document customer requirements.
• Estimate the necessary effort for the resolution of each task, committing to obtain the expected result within the agreed effort
• Develop autonomously the tasks using the best practices defined by the area
• Plan and manage your time in the best way to discriminate the urgent from the important and fulfill what was promised to the client
• Deliver proven and functional code pieces Quality assurance Encourage the adoption of good practices, coaching less experienced developers, making code reviews
• Use the tools provided by agile methodologies. Continuous learning
• Maintain a fluid communication with the team, the TL and the customer

Required skills:

• Excellent verbal and written English skills
• 5+ years of experience in software engineering with Ruby on Rails – (React es nice to have)
