AgileEngine is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to operate and improve a Kubernetes-based API platform across public and private clouds. The role focuses on automation, tooling, and incident management.

You will manage production Kubernetes clusters, implement observability, respond to incidents end-to-end, onboard new clients, and build automation to reduce manual effort while ensuring scalability and reliability.

Formación

• 4+ years of hands-on experience operating Kubernetes in production.
• Strong Linux and command line fundamentals.
• Experience with a public cloud provider, preferably Azure or AWS.
• Ability to debug and troubleshoot complex systems end-to-end.

Responsabilidades

• Operate and maintain the Kubernetes-based platform across cloud environments.
• Work with observability tooling to ensure actionable alerts with up-to-date runbooks and docs.
• Manage incidents from end-to-end, including root cause analysis and post-incident reviews.
• Onboard and support new clients onto the platform.
• Build automation and diagnostic tooling to reduce manual effort and improve performance.
• Identify and deliver process improvements.
• Support software and hardware upgrades and keep components up to date.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a Site Reliability Engineer to operate and improve a Kubernetes-based API platform across public and private cloud environments, including automation, tooling, and incident management.

MUST HAVES

• 4+ years of hands‑on experience operating Kubernetes in production, ideally with Service Mesh.
• Strong Linux and command line fundamentals.
• Confident debugging and troubleshooting complex systems, from the application layer through to lower‑level infrastructure.
• Experience working with a public cloud provider, preferably Azure or AWS.

NICE TO HAVES

• Working knowledge of Grafana, Prometheus, Loki and Tempo is a plus.
• Scripting or coding in Python or Java is a strong plus.
• CI/CD, infrastructure as code such as Helm or Terraform is a plus.
• Financial services background is not required.
