Chevron seeks an experienced engineer to design and implement chemical treatment and corrosion control strategies at the El Trapial Field, including monitoring, reporting, and optimization to improve OE, reliability, and cost performance.

The role requires 5+ years in chemical treatment and corrosion control, with an engineering degree and at least an intermediate level of English. Rotation 7x7 with Chevron Camp accommodations is provided.

Formación

Responsabilidades

• Design, manage, and implement chemical treatment and corrosion control strategies, including monitoring and inspection activities, and reporting.
• Provide technical assessment and interpretation of chemical treatment monitoring data and recommend changes to corrosion analyses and monitoring programs.
• Serve as SME for water, oil, and gas treatment facilities to improve OE, production, reliability, efficiency, and cost performance.
• Follow up on contractor performance through daily field visits and interaction with Operations & Maintenance, Laboratory, and chemical service providers.
• Lead OE execution in the field with a strong focus on safety and compliance with process safety and HSE standards.
• Prepare forecasts and monthly tracking of operating costs and facility improvements related to chemical products transportation, dosing, and storage.
• Propose and lead medium- and long-term optimization initiatives focusing on reliability, integrity, operational efficiency, and reduction of total treatment costs.
• Identify, evaluate, and propose new technologies.

Responsibilities

• Design, manage, and implement chemical treatment and corrosion control strategies, including chemical treatment, corrosion monitoring and inspection activities, as well as the preparation and delivery of reports and the identification and assessment of significant trends.
• Provide technical assessment and interpretation of chemical treatment monitoring data and recommend changes to corrosion criticality analyses and monitoring/inspection programs (chemical treatment, reservoir souring, corrosion, materials, coating applications, and cathodic protection). Utilize NACE, EPTC, API, ASTM, AISI, AWS, SSCP, and other Oil & Gas industry standards.
• Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for water, oil, and gas treatment facilities and chemical treatment services in El Trapial Field to improve Operational Excellence (OE), production, reliability, efficiency, and cost performance.
• Follow up on contractor performance through daily field visits and maintain ongoing interaction with Operations & Maintenance (O&M), Laboratory, and chemical service provider personnel.
• Lead OE execution in the field, with a strong focus on safety, ensuring every activity is performed in accordance with process safety and HSE standards.
• Prepare forecasts and perform monthly tracking of operating costs and facility improvements related to the transportation, dosing, and storage of chemical products in the field.
• Propose and lead medium- and long-term optimization initiatives focused on reliability, integrity, operational efficiency, and reduction of total treatment costs.

• Experience assessing and interpreting chemical treatment monitoring data and recommending changes to corrosion control strategies.
• Intermediate level of English.

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced level of English.

Special Considerations

• This position follows a 7x7 rotational schedule based in El Trapial Field.
• During the rotation, the selected candidate will stay at the Chevron Camp.
