Job summary

JPMorganChase within the Technology Team seeks a Software Engineer III to join an agile team, delivering trusted market-leading technology in a secure, scalable way.

You will design, develop, and troubleshoot production-grade software, building architectures and dashboards across large data sets while ensuring reliability and fast delivery.

Fluent English and 5+ years of experience are required, with hands-on work in CI/CD, monitoring, and event-driven systems across AWS services.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience.
• Hands-on experience with Java, Springboot, Microservices, Docker, Kafka, AWS services.
• Deep technical knowledge of utilizing frameworks to deliver applications, and being able to dive deep into code implementations.
• Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Proficient in implementing Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment practices to streamline software development processes.
• Proficient in creating and building scalable applications with strong resiliency capabilities and event-driven architectures.
• Expertise in using monitoring and logging tools like Datadog, Grafana, Splunk and creating dashboards and alerts using these.
• Fluent in English

Responsibilities

• Executes software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems
• Creates secure and high-quality production code and maintains algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systems
• Produces architecture and design artifacts for complex applications while being accountable for ensuring design constraints are met by software code development
• Gathers, analyzes, synthesizes, and develops visualizations and reporting from large, diverse data sets in service of continuous improvement of software applications and systems
• Proactively identifies hidden problems and patterns in data and uses these insights to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architecture
• Contributes to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologies
• Adds to team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect
