Senior Software Engineer

Develop and own critical frontend components for Scale's core AI products

Location: Argentina

At Scale, our Generative AI Data Engine powers the most advanced LLMs and generative models in the world through world‑class RLHF, human data generation, model evaluation, safety, and alignment. The data we are producing is some of the most important work for how humanity will interact with AI. We are looking for a strong Frontend engineer to join our team. This role requires a strong technical background and hands‑on experience with React.

In this role, you will be an integral member of our engineering team to work on our core products. You'll be given the opportunity to own critical parts of the products to meaningfully drive millions of dollars in revenue. The ideal person is a natural entrepreneurial engineer who can take an ambiguous scope and lead the execution to an outcome.

You're excited about solving customer problems, and you pick the technologies and tactics that balance speed, function, and long‑term robustness.

You will:

• Own and architect large‑scale processing pipelines
• Work across backend (Node.js, Python) and frontend (React) stacks to build end‑to‑end solutions
• Interact directly with autonomous vehicle customers to understand their data processing needs
• Design and implement high‑performance distributed systems
• Build comprehensive monitoring solutions to ensure pipeline reliability and performance
• Deliver experiments and improvements at high velocity while maintaining quality
• Collaborate across teams to optimize the entire data processing lifecycle

Ideally you'd have:

• Mastery of TypeScript/Node.js and Python for backend systems
• Strong experience with React and modern frontend development
• Deep understanding of distributed systems and workflow orchestration
• Experience with AWS cloud services (Lambda, Step Functions, SQS)
• Experience with MongoDB, PostgreSQL, or Elasticsearch
• Track record of scaling data processing systems at high‑growth companies
• Excellent English communication skills for cross‑team collaboration

Nice to haves:

• Experience with autonomous vehicle data or lidar technologies
• Familiarity with Temporal workflows or similar orchestration systems
• Background in computer vision or 3D data processing
• Previous startup experience building complex technical products
• Understanding of UX/UI principles for building intuitive data visualization tools
