Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. in Argentina is seeking a seasoned Software Engineer III specialized in Smalltalk to join the Rates Technology team. You will own software delivery end-to-end, collaborating with stakeholders to understand business cases and tackle complex problems with modern programming languages.

You will work in a global, agile environment, delivering secure, scalable technology products and driving continuous improvement across the software lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Strong Object Oriented Design and Development knowledge.
• Proficient in Smalltalk (or other Object Oriented Language) with proven delivery.
• Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with modern programming languages and database querying languages.
• Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle.
• Solid understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security.
• Advanced knowledge of application, data and infrastructure architecture disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Executes software solutions, design, development, and troubleshooting with ability to tackle complex problems.
• Produces secure and high-quality production code and tooling.
• Produces architecture and design artifacts for complex applications and ensures design constraints are met.
• Gathers and analyzes data to visualize and report for continuous improvement of software applications.
