Agora is seeking a Senior Security Engineer to secure its products and services. You will partner with Engineering and Product from design through production, building and reviewing controls, architectures, and configurations.

You will monitor security, tune alerts, investigate events, and work with the SOC during incidents. You’ll drive vulnerability management and comply with secure software development practices across AWS, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.

Formación

• 5+ years in product/security/cloud security or related security engineering role.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals; experience with TypeScript/Node.js or similar.
• Experience reviewing web apps, APIs, and relational DB designs.
• Knowledge of vulnerabilities, threat modeling, secure design principles, identity patterns.
• Experience securing AWS, containers, Kubernetes, IaC, and CI/CD/GitOps.
• Hands-on with security tools (SAST/DAST/SCA/CSPM) and telemetry-based detections.
• Ability to evaluate findings by exploitability, confidence, and business impact.
• Strong communication with SOC and engineers; incident response experience.
• Experience with external pentesters, auditors, or security reviewers.

Responsabilidades

• Partner with Eng and Product across the lifecycle from design to operation.
• Perform security reviews of designs, code, APIs, IaC, cloud environments, and deployments.
• Identify vulnerabilities and work with engineers on remediation.
• Serve as security SME for app security, cloud/container security, IAM, secrets, API security, data protection.
• Develop reusable security guidance, patterns, checklists, and engineering standards.
• Administer and improve security tooling including AI-assisted tools, SAST/DAST, SCA, CSPM, etc.
• Integrate security controls into CI/CD; tune rules and reduce noise.
• Translate threat models into concrete logging, monitoring, and detections.
• Collaborate with SOC on alerts, runbooks, and incident response.
• Lead post-incident reviews and drive durable improvements.
• Own vulnerability management including intake, prioritization, remediation, verification, reporting.
• Support third-party pentests and audits; assess new vendors/tech.
• Contribute to product/platform security roadmaps.
• Build automation and metrics for security visibility.
• Support incident-readiness and vulnerability management programs.
