AgileEngine is seeking a Senior SDET to build and maintain Web and API automation frameworks from scratch and define the automation strategy within squads. You will lead backend and frontend validation, implement scalable tests, and mentor peers to foster a quality-first culture.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years as an SDET, strong Java, REST Assured, and Playwright experience, and a solid grasp of CI/CD pipelines and shift-left testing. Remote/office options available.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a Senior SDET to build and maintain Web and API automation frameworks from scratch and define the automation strategy within the squads.

MUST HAVES

• 4+ years of experience as an SDET Engineer.
• Strong programming skills in Java (a "developer-first" approach to QA).
• Extensive experience using REST Assured for backend testing.
• Proven hands-on experience with Playwright.
• Deep understanding of the "shift-left" approach and integrating automation into CI/CD pipelines.
• Ability to work independently and provide technical direction on quality initiatives.

NICE TO HAVES

• Previous experience in the Loyalty or Fintech sectors.
• Experience with performance or load testing (e.g., JMeter or Gatling).
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure and SQL for data validation within test scripts.
• Experience working with mocking frameworks.
