AgileEngine is seeking a Full Stack Tech Lead to guide a squad and build backend services with Java and Spring Boot, supported by an Angular frontend. You will lead technical delivery and set high engineering standards.
The role emphasizes domain-driven design, RESTful APIs, and scalable architecture, with focus on PostgreSQL/Oracle and Kafka. Remote-friendly with flexible schedule and USD-based compensation.
Formación
- 6+ years of professional experience with Java (Spring Boot) and Angular.
- Proven leadership as Tech Lead or Squad Lead; mentoring peers.
- Hands-on Kafka experience for streaming and messaging.
- Strong OOAD, patterns, and domain-driven design knowledge.
- Experience with RESTful APIs and standard web protocols.
- Proficiency with PostgreSQL/Oracle and JPA/Hibernate.
- Excellent written/spoken English (upper-intermediate).

- Leadership Experience: Proven experience as a Tech Lead or Squad Lead , with a track record of motivating teams and mentoring junior developers.
- Core Stack: Advanced proficiency in Java (Spring Boot) and Angular, with at least 6 years of experience .
- Streaming & Messaging: Hands-on experience with Kafka .
- Design Fundamentals: A strong grasp of Object-Oriented Analysis and Design (OOA/OOD), software design patterns, and architectural pattern awareness .
- Domain-Driven Design: Deep understanding and practical experience with strong domain bounded contexts .
- API Knowledge: Deep experience building and consuming RESTful services with a clear understanding of standard API protocols.
- Database Skills: Experience working with relational databases (PostgreSQL, Oracle ) and JPA/Hibernate .
- The "Backend-Heavy" Mindset: A passion for server-side logic, performance, and architecture, coupled with good engineering practices.
- Upper-intermediate English level.
- Highly desirable: Experience working with spec-driven development or related (AI-Driven Software Development Life Cycle).
- Domain Experience: Previous experience in the Loyalty or Fintech sectors.
- Cloud & Infra: Experience with cloud platforms (AWS or Azure) and containerization (Docker).
- DevOps: Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI).
- Refactoring: Experience refactoring legacy structures into modern, domain-driven architectures.
- Technical Leadership & Execution: Act as the Squad Lead, driving the team to execute on deliverables while maintaining high engineering standards.
- Core Development: Spend a significant portion of your time designing and implementing robust backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
- Frontend Integration: Build and maintain the supporting Angular frontend, ensuring a seamless connection between the UI and your backend logic.
- Modernizing Architecture: Lead the transition from traditional database-centric designs toward a domain-driven structure (DDD), ensuring strong domain bounded contexts.
- API Excellence: Architect RESTful APIs that prioritize proper HTTP verbs and clean, scalable patterns over legacy RPC styles.
