EPAM Systems in Argentina seeks a Senior Python Engineer to design and build scalable backend services with Python and cloud-native platforms.

You will develop REST APIs and microservices, work with AWS/Azure/GCP, and collaborate with DevOps, QA, product and engineering teams.

The role emphasizes architecture decisions, code quality, security and performance, with growth opportunities in a dynamic multinational environment.

Formación

• Solid experience in Python backend development.
• Experience with FastAPI, Flask or Django.
• Hands-on with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Proven REST APIs and microservices background.
• Knowledge of relational and/or NoSQL databases.
• Familiar with CI/CD, testing and modern software practices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

We are seeking a Senior Python Engineer who brings strong backend development expertise along with a solid grasp of cloud-native solutions. The right candidate will be capable of designing, building and maintaining scalable backend services through Python and modern cloud platforms.

Responsibilities

• Build backend services and APIs with Python
• Architect scalable cloud-based solutions and microservices
• Handle databases, queues, cloud services and integrations
• Partner with DevOps, QA, product and engineering teams
• Take part in architecture discussions and technical decision-making
• Maintain code quality, security, performance and reliability
• Assist with deployment, monitoring and troubleshooting of production systems

Requirements

• Solid experience in Python backend development
• Familiarity with frameworks like FastAPI, Flask or Django
• Practical experience using AWS, Azure or GCP
• Proven background building REST APIs and microservices
• Sound knowledge of relational and/or NoSQL databases
• Exposure to CI/CD, testing and modern software engineering practices
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities

Nice to have

• Working knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes
• Background in serverless architectures
• Familiarity with data pipelines or event-driven architectures
• Understanding of Terraform or infrastructure as code
