Bluelight is seeking a senior backend-focused software engineer to join a fast-growing consultancy. You will design and implement scalable APIs using Node.js, TypeScript, and PostgreSQL, while collaborating with frontend and AI-assisted development teams.

You’ll work in a remote-friendly environment with flexible hours, overlap US business hours, and participate in continuous education and certifications. This role requires strong ownership and a client-focused mindset.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional backend-focused software development.
• Strong experience with Node.js, TypeScript and JavaScript.
• Experience building low-latency AWS API services and scalable RESTful APIs.
• Experience with PostgreSQL/AuroraDB and RLS, SQL and migrations.
• Proven ability to build secure multi-tenant environments.
• Professional React experience and solid testing practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop robust backend services and APIs with a focus on performance.
• Collaborate across teams to deliver high-quality, scalable software.
