Darwoft is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to join a remote-friendly early-stage cybersecurity startup. You will design, build, and maintain scalable backend services using Java and Python, with a strong emphasis on ownership and quality.

• 8+ years of experience in software engineering or backend development.
• 5+ years of professional Python experience building production-grade backend systems.
• Strong experience with Java.
• Hands-on AI/LLM-based development experience (AI agents, agentic systems, or LLM-powered applications).
• Experience building AI-driven features, LLM integrations, or agentic workflows in production environments is highly preferred.
• Solid understanding of distributed systems, scalable architectures, and asynchronous processing.
• Experience working with databases, message queues, and data processing pipelines.
• Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes in production environments.
• Proven experience building, maintaining, optimizing, and improving products after launch.
• Strong ownership mindset, autonomy, and ability to thrive in startup or fast-paced environments.
• Advanced English level.
