Algaecal Inc. seeks a Senior Video Editor to craft and optimize video content for ads, brand storytelling, and digital campaigns. You’ll collaborate with designers, copywriters, and strategists to tailor content for YouTube, social media, and paid media campaigns.

This role supports expansion into Latin America, with fully remote work from anywhere in Latin America and close collaboration with U.S.-based teams. A strong portfolio and fluent English are required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional video editing experience.
• Agency/marketing/production team experience preferred.
• Advanced Premiere Pro skills; working knowledge of After Effects, Final Cut Pro or DaVinci Resolve.
• Experience editing ads, marketing content, or corporate communications.
• Strong storytelling, pacing, and visual impact.
• Fluent English; able to collaborate with U.S.-based teams.

Responsabilités

• Edit and assemble video content for ads, social media, YouTube, and digital campaigns.
• Enhance video quality via color grading, sound design, and transitions.
• Add motion graphics and simple animations (text overlays, logo moves).
• Optimize videos for different platforms with correct aspect ratios and subtitles.
• Coordinate with designers, copywriters, and strategists to align visuals with goals.
• Organize assets and manage version control.
• Review edits and refine content after feedback.
• Stay updated on new editing techniques and platform trends.

Senior Video Editor | Remote for North American Universities

Our client is a performance marketing agency focused on mission-driven organizations, particularly in higher education. Since 2020, they have helped universities and educational institutions improve their outreach through data-driven marketing, digital advertising, and creative content. Their team partners with colleges to develop campaigns that drive enrollment and engagement.

In this role, you will edit and optimize video content for advertising, brand storytelling, and digital campaigns. You'll collaborate with designers, copywriters, and strategists to ensure high-quality content tailored for platforms like YouTube, social media, and paid media campaigns. As part of the agency’s expansion into Latin America, you’ll play a key role in shaping video content strategies and ensuring seamless execution across projects.

What You'll Do:

• Edit and assemble video content for ads, social media, YouTube, and digital campaigns, ensuring strong storytelling and brand consistency.
• Enhance video quality through color correction, sound design, and smooth transitions.
• Integrate motion graphics and simple animations (text overlays, transitions, logo animations) to improve engagement.
• Optimize videos for different platforms , ensuring correct aspect ratios, pacing, subtitles, and thumbnails based on distribution channels.
• Collaborate with creative teams —designers, copywriters, and strategists—to align visuals with marketing goals.
• Manage video files and organize assets , ensuring structured workflows and version control.
• Review edits and refine content based on internal and client feedback before final delivery.
• Stay updated on new editing techniques and platform trends to continuously improve video effectiveness.
• Ensure timely delivery of final assets , accounting for internal and client review steps.

Is This You?

• 3+ years of experience in professional video editing, preferably in an agency, media production, or marketing team setting.
• Advanced skills in Adobe Premiere Pro , plus working knowledge of After Effects, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve.
• Experience editing content for ads, marketing, or corporate communications.
• Strong storytelling ability , with a clear understanding of pacing, audience engagement, and visual impact.
• Familiarity with motion graphics (text animations, lower thirds, transitions).
• Technical knowledge of color grading, sound design, and video formatting for social media, web, and broadcast.
• Highly organized —able to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Fluent English communication skills , with the ability to work with U.S.-based teams.
• Experience optimizing video content for multiple platforms (YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, TV).

Nice to Have:

• Experience working with education, technology, corporate, or mission-driven brands.
• Understanding of social media engagement strategies for video.
• Comfort presenting work and discussing revisions with clients.
