Job summary

JPMorganChase LATAM FX & Rates Engineering seeks a seasoned Software Engineer III to design, develop, and deploy trusted, market-leading technology products in a secure, scalable way. You will work within an agile team, collaborating with Trading, Sales, Product, and other engineers across LATAM and global locations to translate business needs into technical solutions.

You will own end-to-end delivery, take ownership of outcomes, communicate clearly to stakeholders, and proactively improve code

Qualifications

• 3+ years of practical software engineering experience in financial services.
• Experience designing, developing, testing, and maintaining mission-critical, high-volume applications.
• Proven experience Java (Spring / Spring Boot) and SQL (Oracle), with MyBatis and/or Hibernate data-access layers.
• Experience building RESTful services and event-driven integrations (Kafka); experience with front-end frameworks (Angular / React / TypeScript) is a plus.
• Experience operating services on containerized/cloud-native infrastructure (Docker, Kubernetes) with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins / Jira/ Bitbucket), source control (Git).
• Hands-on experience with enterprise AI-assisted development tools and secure coding practices.

Responsibilities

• Own software solutions end-to-end from design to deployment and production support.
• Design, develop, troubleshoot, and improve systems beyond routine approaches.
• Create secure, high-quality production code and maintain algorithms.
• Collaborate with Trading, Sales, Product and other engineers across LATAM and global locations.
• Clearly communicate complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Identify risks and patterns in data and systems and drive improvements.
• Use AI coding assist tools to improve code quality and productivity, with peer review.
• Apply SDLC knowledge to automation and tooling improvements.
• Produce architecture and design artifacts for complex applications.
• Gather and analyze large data sets and build visuals and reports for improvements.
• Contribute to ceremonies, reviews, and knowledge sharing; mentor peers.
