Job summary

Globant is seeking a Senior Java Developer with Scala experience in Argentina to help build next-generation backend systems. You will work with Scala 2/3, Play Framework, AWS services, and modern testing and observability tools to deliver robust, scalable platforms.

You will contribute to architecture, design, and implementation for high-traffic streaming and event-driven services, leveraging tools like Kinesis, DynamoDB, Datadog and OpenTelemetry while collaborating with global teams.

What will help you succeed:

• Scala 2 o 3, Cats Effect 3, Play Framework y AWS DynamoDB. Arquitecturas funcionales (tagless final, IO), APIs contract-first con Smithy/Smithy4s, Swagger/Flute y servicios backend en AWS (ECS, Docker). Testing funcional (Weaver, ScalaCheck, ScalaTests), observabilidad (Datadog, OpenTelemetry) y entornos de alto tráfico en streaming y event-driven systems (Kinesis).
