Job summary

Bechtel in Argentina seeks a Construction Engineer to manage environmental permits and ensure compliance with national and provincial regulations throughout the project lifecycle.

You will translate legal requirements into verifiable design criteria, coordinate with engineering teams and regulators, and maintain a permit route aligned with the project schedule, supporting construction and commissioning activities.

Qualifications

• Electrical engineer degree with 10+ years of experience in substation and line construction.
• High Voltage experience in at least 2 mining projects.
• Ability to interpret design documents and support construction managers in problem solving.
• Ability to learn and apply applicable local, provincial and national regulations with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Support construction efforts by providing technical support to craft and supervision and ensuring quality requirements are met.
• Assist craftsmen, foremen, and project supervision with construction-related issues identified on drawings.
• Provide technical interpretation of design documents for construction managers and contractors.
• Establish and maintain effective communication between company and design engineer for timely flow of documents.
• Coordinate preparation and implementation of the project quality program within construction engineering.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
