Job summary

Prometeo Talent is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to own scalable, secure, multi-cloud infrastructure across AWS and GCP. You’ll design systems that are reliable by default, automated end-to-end, and trusted by engineering teams.

This is a hands-on role focused on infrastructure as code, reliability as a feature, and automation as standard practice. The position is 100% remote for LATAM and offers USD compensation aligned with market rates. Advanced English required.

Qualifications

• 6-10 years of related experience.
• Advanced English level.
• Experience with multi-cloud Kubernetes deployments.
• Strong Terraform, Ansible, and Pulumi/CDK skills.
• Security awareness aligned with SOC 2 / ISO 27001.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain scalable, highly available multi-cloud infra across AWS/GCP.

About the role

We’re looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to take ownership of scalable, secure, and highly available infrastructure across multi-cloud environments. You’ll play a key role in designing systems that are reliable by default, automated end-to-end, and trusted by engineering teams.

This is a hands-on role for someone who treats infrastructure as code, reliability as a feature, and automation as standard practice .

What You’ll Do

Infrastructure & Cloud Architecture: Design and maintain scalable, highly available multi-cloud infrastructure across AWS and GCP.

Kubernetes & Platform Engineering: Manage Kubernetes clusters and workloads, ensuring scalability, reliability, and efficient deployments.

Infrastructure as Code: Build and maintain reusable IaC solutions, primarily with Terraform, to manage infrastructure at scale.

CI/CD & Automation: Develop CI/CD pipelines and automate infrastructure provisioning, deployments, and operations.

Observability & Reliability: Implement monitoring solutions, define reliability metrics, manage incidents, and optimize infrastructure capacity.

Security & Compliance: Apply security best practices, integrate security testing, and support SOC 2 and ISO 27001 compliance.

Cost & Operational Excellence: Optimize cloud costs, maintain technical documentation, and collaborate across engineering, product, and security teams.

AI & Efficiency: Leverage AI tools to improve automation and documentation, ensuring outputs are accurate and secure.

What We’re Looking For

Cloud: AWS (Expert), GCP (Proficient), Multi-Cloud

Kubernetes: EKS, GKE, Helm, ArgoCD/Flux, Service Mesh

IaC: Terraform (Expert), Ansible, Pulumi/CDK (plus)

CI/CD: GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins — full pipeline ownership

Observability: Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog, OpenTelemetry

Security: IAM, KMS, SOC2/ISO, Container Scanning, RBAC

Scripting: Bash, Python

AI Skills: AI-Augmented IaC & Automation, Critical Review
