Job summary

Blacksmith Agency seeks a senior Product Design Systems Designer to own how client design systems are built, from tokens to components, across multiple brands. This is a senior, systems-first role focused on scalable, repeatable architecture rather than one-off pages.

You will work remotely from Latin America, ensuring alignment with US business hours and delivering precise, cross-brand design systems that can scale with client needs.

Qualifications

• 4+ years designing for the web with real design system work in your portfolio.
• Fluency in Figma variables, component properties, auto layout, and variants.
• A portfolio where work looks different for each client but shows underlying rigor.
• Strong English and overlap with US business hours.

Responsibilities

• Build token architecture in Figma using variables, modes, and semantic naming our pipeline can read predictably.
• Ship core component libraries that hold up across an entire site, not just a homepage.
• Document the system so a developer or an automated pipeline can execute it without questions.
• Work across several client brands at once, each looking distinctly different, with the same structural rigor.
