AgileEngine in Argentina is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to build batch and streaming data pipelines on Databricks, migrating legacy ETL workloads to a governed Lakehouse.

You will model a medallion architecture (bronze/silver/gold) for analytics and AI use cases, using PySpark, Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, and SQL/Python data modeling across lakes and warehouses.

Formación

• 3+ years of professional data engineering experience.
• Expertise with Apache Spark, PySpark, and Delta Lake.
• Advanced SQL and Python with data modeling in lakehouse patterns.
• Experience with streaming ingestion and structured streaming.
• Experience with data governance and Unity Catalog.
• Upper-intermediate English level.

Responsabilidades

• Design and operate batch and streaming pipelines on Databricks using PySpark, Delta Lake, and Databricks Workflows.
• Model and maintain a medallion architecture for analytics, reporting, and ML.
• Migrate legacy ETL workloads to the Lakehouse with data parity and minimal disruption.
• Write clean, tested Python and SQL; contribute code reviews and documentation.
• Optimize Spark jobs and Delta tables for performance and cost.
• Implement data quality, lineage, and governance with Unity Catalog.
• Collaborate with DevOps, platform, and analytics engineers on observability and security.
