Xometry is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join our Data Science team on a 1-year contract with potential extension. You will drive data science initiatives, provide technical guidance, and leverage data to solve complex business challenges in a dynamic environment.

You will design and execute data science projects, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and ensure robust, reproducible code and deployment practices while focusing on cost prediction for a two-sided marketplace.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field required
• MS or PhD in a related field highly preferred
• 5+ years of experience in data science
• Strong expertise in SQL and Python (numpy, scipy, pandas, scikit-learn)
• Experience with pricing algorithms and data-driven product development
• Knowledge of software principles: version control, reproducibility, deployment
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment
• Must be able to work core hours aligned with US Eastern Time (GMT-5)
• Excellent communication to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

Responsabilidades

• Use data analysis, visualization, and modeling tools to drive data-driven strategies with a focus on cost prediction for a two-sided marketplace
• Design and execute data science projects including hypothesis testing and experimentation (A/B tests)
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into data science solutions
• Analyze algorithms for accuracy and performance; update production code as needed
• Query data from Snowflake and MongoDB to support analysis and model development
• Implement best practices for code reproducibility, version control, and model deployment
• Iterate on solutions in a fast-paced agile environment with data-driven approaches
• Foster collaboration and knowledge sharing within the team
