Blend is a premier AI services provider delivering data science and AI solutions across industries. We are seeking a Senior Data Governance Analyst to drive governance initiatives, maintain standards, and collaborate with stakeholders to improve data quality.

You will leverage AI-powered tools, work with AWS services, and partner with cross-functional teams to ensure regulatory compliance and effective data stewardship in LATAM locations.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in information systems, CS, data analytics, or related field.
• 3+ years in data governance, data management, or related disciplines.
• Experience with data governance platforms (Atlan, Collibra, Alation) and metadata management.

Responsabilidades

• Lead end-to-end enterprise data governance initiatives and processes.
• Create and maintain governance documentation, standards, and procedures.
• Perform data analysis and profiling to identify quality issues and improvement opportunities.
• Support metadata management and document business/technical metadata.
• Utilize AI-powered governance tools for data classification and tagging.
• Monitor data assets for policy compliance and propose corrective actions.
• Support AI-assisted data retention, archival, and lifecycle policies.
• Document data rules and governance requirements with business stakeholders.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate needs into governance docs.
• Communicate governance updates clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

We are seeking a Senior Data Governance Analyst to contribute to our next level of growth and expansion.

What is this position about?

• Execute and support enterprise Data Governance initiatives and governance processes end to end
• Create and maintain governance documentation, standards, and procedures
• Perform data analysis and data profiling to identify quality issues and opportunities for improvement
• Assist with metadata management activities, including documenting and maintaining business and technical metadata
• Leverage AI‑powered data governance tools to automate data classification and tagging, identify sensitive or non‑compliant data, and support governance workflows
• Monitor data assets for compliance with governance policies, identifying potential violations and recommending corrective actions
• Support the implementation and validation of AI‑assisted data retention, archival, and lifecycle management policies
• Validate data governance controls and ensure compliance with established governance policies and regulatory requirements
• Document business definitions, data rules, and governance requirements in collaboration with business stakeholders
• Support data stewardship activities and contribute to improving data quality across critical data domains
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to gather requirements and translate business needs into governance documentation
• Monitor governance activities and contribute to continuous process improvements
• Communicate governance updates, findings, and recommendations effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Business, or a related field.
• Approximately 3+ years of experience in Data Governance, Data Management, Business/Data Analysis, or related areas.
• Experience with data governance platforms such as Atlan, Collibra, Alation, or similar governance workflow and metadata management tools.
• Experience in PII discovery and confidence scoring (required)
• Experience with data masking through AI agents (required)
• Hands‑on AWS experience, including S3, cleanup processes, Glue, AgentCore, and Lambda functions (required)
• Knowledge of CoCo and Cortex is a plus

What about languages?

• Advanced English (written and verbal) preferred.

How much experience must I have?

• Approximately 3+ years of professional experience in Data Governance, Data Analysis, Business Analysis, Data Management, or related disciplines.
