Job summary

Endava is seeking a seasoned Data Engineer to join our data team. You will design, build, and optimize scalable pipelines (ETL/ELT) using Python, SQL, Apache Airflow, DBT, PySpark, and Snowflake, while collaborating with engineers, data scientists, and product teams.

You will own data workflows, implement quality checks, and contribute to cloud architectures on AWS. You will also implement CI/CD, IaC practices, and production support, mentoring junior engineers and driving technical excellence

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in data engineering or related software engineering roles.
• Hands-on experience building production-grade data pipelines.
• Strong knowledge of Apache Airflow including DAG development and monitoring.
• Experience with Snowflake or equivalent cloud data warehouse technologies.
• Proven experience with DBT and cloud platforms (AWS).
• Experience with CI/CD and Infrastructure-as-Code practices.
• Strong Python and SQL skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines for data ingestion, transformation, validation and delivery.
• Develop reusable, modular data processing solutions and contribute to architecture.
• Design and optimize data models, SQL queries, and data workflows.
• Design and maintain Airflow workflows, with monitoring and error handling.
• Implement data validation and quality checks; monitor pipelines and diagnose issues.
• Develop data solutions using AWS and Snowflake; support cloud data platforms across environments.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines; apply IaC using Terraform or similar.
• Provide technical leadership and mentor engineers; collaborate with cross-functional teams.
