Job summary

Hempel seeks an experienced Coating Advisor to join its Technical Services team in Argentina, supporting Energy, Infrastructure and marine segments. The role advises applicators and end-users on proper use of coatings, following SOPs, and provides technical support to Sales, R&D and other functions.

The position requires travel up to 85% domestically and internationally. Fluency in Spanish is essential, with Portuguese and English as a plus.

Qualifications

Fluency in Spanish (Portuguese and English are a plus)
Strong experience in the coatings industry, preferably with exposure to Oil & Gas.
Certifications such as NACE, FROSIO, ABRACO, IARCOR or equivalent are valued.
Technologically proficient and comfortable using digital reporting tools.
University degree in Chemistry or related field is a plus.
Driver license and passport
Completion of required internal training per policy.

Responsibilities

Fulfill assigned projects per Work Orders.
Advise customers on correct use of products per current technical docs.
Ensure compliance with painting specifications and procedures.
Provide progress reports and advise on preventive/corrective actions.
Monitor paint inventory and support sales with updates.
Conduct coating condition surveys onshore and offshore as required.
Provide pre- and post-sales technical support and evaluate new products or upgrades.
Train customers on product features and application; ensure timely reporting.
