Job summary

Chevron Corporation is seeking a seasoned engineer for the El Trapial Field in Argentina. The role focuses on designing, managing, and implementing chemical treatment and corrosion control strategies, with emphasis on monitoring, reporting, and data interpretation.

The candidate will work on 7x7 rotations from Chevron Camp, ensuring safety and adherence to HSE standards, and will liaise with Operations, Maintenance, and service providers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Petroleum, Chemical, or Industrial Engineering.
• 5+ years' experience in chemical treatment and corrosion control.
• Experience interpreting monitoring data and adjusting strategies.
• English proficiency: intermediate or higher.

Responsibilities

• Design, manage and implement chemical treatment and corrosion control strategies, including monitoring and inspection.
• Prepare and deliver reports; identify significant trends.
• Interpret monitoring data and adjust corrosion control programs; reference industry standards.
• Act as SME for water, oil and gas treatment facilities to improve OE, production and cost performance.
• Oversee contractor performance through daily field visits with O&M and service providers.
• Lead OE execution in the field with emphasis on safety and HSE standards.
• Forecast operating costs and track facility improvements related to chemical products.
• Propose and lead long-term optimization initiatives to reduce total treatment costs.
