Commit is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer for the Customer Focus Group (CFG). The role centers on building scalable backend services, translating customer needs into product features, and driving performance and infrastructure improvements.

The ideal candidate brings 5+ years in backend development, strong API design skills, and experience with microservices, CI/CD, and cloud environments across AWS/Azure/GCP.

Formación

• Backend architecture including microservices, API design, and patterns.

We are hiring a Senior Backend Engineer for its Customer Focus Group (CFG) — a technical team that bridges engineering and the commercial side of the product. CFG members handle development, architecture, product, and direct customer interaction: translating customer needs into the product, building new features, and resolving pressing technical issues. The role needs a strong backend builder who can also take a holistic, product-and-customer view, with a focus on infrastructure, performance, and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

Must-have skills

• Backend architecture — microservices, API design, and design patterns (deep understanding)
• Node.js / TypeScript proficiency (or other relevant backend languages)
• SQL and NoSQL databases, with experience scaling systems for high-volume data processing
• Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and their services — serverless computing, managed databases
• 5+ years of backend development, with a strong focus on customer-centric products
• Proven problem-solving with a track record of performant, scalable solutions
• Agile development practices and CI/CD pipelines
• Excellent collaboration and communication with globally distributed teams

Nice-to-have skills

• Security / AppSec domain familiarity (OX is a security product)
• Customer-facing / pre-sales technical experience
• Experience bridging product and engineering
