Athenaworks seeks a Sr. AI Engineer to design, build, and deploy intelligent agents for clients, leveraging LLMs, RAG, knowledge graphs, MCPs, and autonomous frameworks. You’ll work with product managers, data scientists, and engineers to craft scalable AI solutions.

This highly collaborative role focuses on designing agent architectures, optimizing costs and latency, and advancing safety and performance across production deployments while staying ahead of AI trends.

Formación

• 8+ years of software engineering experience with a focus on AI/ML systems.
• Hands-on experience with LLMs, RAG pipelines, MCPs, context engineering, prompt engineering, or autonomous agent frameworks.
• Strong programming skills in Python (preferred) and familiarity with AWS.
• Good understanding of information retrieval, knowledge graphs, and planning & reasoning in AI.
• Familiarity with MLOps, experiment tracking, and model deployment practices.
• Experience with unstructured text data and NLP tasks.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a bias toward delivering results.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsabilidades

• Design AI agent architectures tailored to customer engagement and automation use cases.
• Develop and maintain pipelines for agent reasoning, memory, planning, and tool use with LLMs, agents, RAG, MCPs, and external APIs.
• Evaluate models and agents to improve performance, reliability, and alignment.
• Collaborate on building a robust agent framework supporting multi-step workflows.
• Optimize agent cost, latency, and safety for production environments.
• Monitor, test, and improve deployed agents based on feedback and analytics.
• Stay ahead of emerging trends in agent-based AI and contribute innovative ideas.
