Nortal is seeking a Senior AEM developer (Backend focused) to join our LATAM remote team. You will work primarily on backend Java/Spring Boot with AEM, AWS services, and occasional frontend support. The role is client-facing on a long-running engagement with a global enterprise client.

You’ll lead backend design, implement REST/GraphQL APIs, and contribute to architecture while mentoring juniors. Expect AI tooling in daily workflow and a flexible, autonomous environment.

Formación

• Eight years or more in software development with backend focus.
• At least five years hands-on AEM backend experience (6.x or AEM Cloud).
• Strong Java and Spring Boot with service design and performance tuning.
• Experience with AWS (EC2, Lambda, SQS) and REST/GraphQL APIs.
• Frontend knowledge (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React) for support.
• Business-level English and client-facing communication.

Responsabilidades

• Design and build AEM backend solutions using Sling models and OSGi services.
• Develop services in Java/Spring Boot with REST/GraphQL APIs.
• Deploy and run AWS components behind AEM, including storage and caching.
• Integrate AEM with external systems and manage authentication/finishing touches.
• Support frontend delivery with AEM components and React when needed.
• Lead code reviews, enforce backend standards, and mentor juniors.
• Collaborate with architects, UX, QA, and stakeholders throughout delivery.
• Improve CI/CD pipelines and AEM package management; participate in Agile ceremonies.
• Utilize AI coding tools (Windsurf, Claude) for coding, debugging, and docs.
