General Motors South America is seeking a skilled Senior Accountant to lead month-end close, prepare journal entries, and reconcile accounts in both US GAAP and Argentine standards. You will convert financial statements to USD, support statutory filings, and collaborate with regional teams to resolve complex accounting matters.

The role requires inflation accounting experience, external audit coordination, and advanced Excel skills.

Qualifications

• CPA degree required.
• Knowledge of Argentine Professional Accounting Standards.
• Experience with inflation accounting adjustments.
• Experience preparing complete financial statements with notes and schedules.
• USD conversion of financial statements and FX analysis.
• Experience with external audits and statutory filings (IGJ).
• Advanced Excel and data-analysis skills.

Responsabilités

• Perform G/L and monthly close per US GAAP and local standards.
• Prepare journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and working papers.
• Analyze accounting risks and escalates significant matters.
• Convert financial statements to USD functional currency and analyze FX impacts.
• Produce statutory and government reports and supporting schedules.
• Coordinate external audits and respond to requests.
• Execute internal controls and SOX documentation.
• Collaborate with finance, SSC, and regional teams.
• Support process improvements and automation using data tools.
• Lead a team with similar responsibility.
• Interpret new accounting standards and ensure GAAP compliance.
