Gbs Group is seeking a remote Staff Accountant / Tax Professional to join a U.S.-based public accounting firm. The role supports U.S. clients and requires working hours aligned with U.S. Eastern Time.

Responsibilities include preparing financial statements, recording adjusting entries, supporting U.S. tax returns, performing reconciliations, and assisting with month-end and year-end close. Qualifications: a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, 3+ years of accounting

Qualifications

• 3+ years of accounting experience, ideally supporting U.S.-based clients.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP and general tax preparation concepts
• Strong written and spoken English
• Comfortable working independently in a fully remote environment
• Able to work U.S. Eastern Time business hours

Responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements and supporting schedules
• Record and review adjusting journal entries
• Support preparation of U.S. individual and business tax returns
• Perform account reconciliations and analyze financial information
• Support month-end and year-end close processes
• Collaborate closely with the U.S.-based team for review and sign-off
