Job summary

Monks is seeking a Senior Video Editor for remote work servicing North American universities. You will edit, optimize, and tailor video content for ads, brand storytelling, and digital campaigns while collaborating with designers, copywriters, and strategists.

Requirements include 3+ years in video editing, advanced Premiere Pro and After Effects skills, and fluent English. You will optimize content for YouTube, social, and paid media, with a focus on storytelling and platform-specific formats.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional video editing experience.
• Advanced skills in Premiere Pro; working knowledge of After Effects, Final Cut Pro or DaVinci Resolve.
• Experience editing content for ads, marketing, or corporate communications.
• Strong storytelling with pacing, audience engagement, and visual impact.
• Familiarity with motion graphics (text animations, lower thirds, transitions).
• Technical knowledge of color grading, sound design, and video formatting for social media, web, and broadcast.
• Fluent English communication, able to work with U.S.-based teams.
• Experience optimizing video content for multiple platforms (YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, TV).

Responsibilities

• Edit and assemble video content for ads, social media, YouTube, and digital campaigns, ensuring strong storytelling and brand consistency.
• Enhance video quality through color correction, sound design, and smooth transitions.
• Integrate motion graphics and simple animations to improve engagement.
• Optimize videos for different platforms—correct aspect ratios, pacing, subtitles, and thumbnails.
• Collaborate with designers, copywriters, and strategists to align visuals with marketing goals.
• Manage video files and organize assets with structured workflows.
• Review edits and refine content based on internal and client feedback.
• Stay updated on new editing techniques and platform trends to improve effectiveness.
• Ensure timely delivery of final assets with internal and client review steps.
