AgileEngine is seeking an Automation QA Engineer to own desktop and mobile test automation, while handling manual testing for our applications. You will build and maintain robust automation, integrate tests into CI/CD, and collaborate with developers and product teams to improve testability and acceptance criteria.

Strong automation background (4+ years) and experience with Playwright, WebdriverIO, and AI-assisted QA will help you succeed. Flexible hybrid work options available.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in QA automation, plus hands-on manual and exploratory testing.
• Experience running tests in CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions).
• Hands-on experience with Playwright for desktop or web, and WebdriverIO + Appium for mobile.
• Experience testing Electron and/or React Native apps, including on real iOS and Android devices.
• Experience using AI tools in QA and critically reviewing their output. Testing AI-powered applications is a plus.

ABOUT THE ROLE

MUST HAVES

• 3+ years of experience in a software quality assurance role.
• 3+ years of experience in automated testing.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Possess a mindset focused on holistic quality.
• Experience writing and working with Gherkin for behavior-driven development.
• Experience with prompt engineering and harness engineering.
• Experience building Agentic skills focused on Quality Engineering.

NICE TO HAVES

• Experience with automated testing frameworks such as Jest, Playwright, Postman, JMeter or any other object-oriented based automated testing framework.
• Experience with testing support functionalities such as GitHub Actions, LambdaTest, SendGrid, Datadog, PagerDuty.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Participate in refinement and estimations of effort to promote accurate planning.

• Participate in On-Call rotation.

We’re looking for an Automation QA Engineer with strong automation skills who also takes ownership of manual testing for our desktop and mobile applications.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain desktop and mobile test automation for critical user flows.
• Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines and keep them fast and reliable.
• Investigate failures, fix flaky tests, and manage test data and environments
• Report clear, reproducible bugs and verify fixes
• Work with developers and product on testability and acceptance criteria
• Perform hands‑on functional, exploratory, and regression testing of new features
• Choose manual or automated coverage based on risk; maintain regression suites.
