Job summary

Webstacks is seeking a mobile engineer to own an offline-first React Native app from initial setup to public release on the App Store and Google Play. You’ll work in a small team, review changes, add tests, and ensure reliable sync, storage and releases for a single app.

You will collaborate with a backend counterpart and leadership, contribute risk notes to clients, and drive acceptance criteria verification through every sprint. This role is remote from LATAM, full-time, ~40 hours per week.

Qualifications

• 4+ years building mobile apps, including React Native released on App Store and Google Play.
• Offline-first experience with local storage, queued writes, retries and conflict handling.
• Clear written and spoken English for PRs, risk notes and client tradeoffs.

Responsibilities

• Set up apple and google developer accounts, signing, CI builds and testing tracks.
• Build local storage, write queue and retry logic for offline work.
• Define sync and upload APIs with backend, resolve conflicts and merges.
• Implement sign-in with phone verification and SMS fallback, push notifications.
• Enhance startup time, memory and app size on low-end devices.
• Handle store submissions, privacy disclosures and crash/sync monitoring.
