BairesDev is seeking a Real-Time Systems Engineer to develop and optimize high‑performance, deterministic software that meets strict timing constraints. You will ensure reliability of mission-critical systems by managing low-level hardware interactions and scheduling requirements.

You will work with RTOS such as FreeRTOS, VxWorks, Zephyr or QNX, handle real-time scheduling, develop hardware interfaces, and design safety-critical components.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering focusing on real-time systems.
• Expertise building deterministic systems with RTOS like FreeRTOS, VxWorks, Zephyr or QNX.
• Advanced knowledge of real-time scheduling and hardware constraints.
• Strong understanding of safety-critical contexts and hard real-time requirements.
• Excellent English language skills.

Responsibilities

• Architect and implement deterministic software on RTOS platforms.
• Optimize real-time scheduling to meet timing constraints.
• Develop low-level drivers interfacing with hardware.
• Design safety-critical components for high availability.
• Analyze performance to reduce latency and jitter.
• Collaborate with hardware teams to align software with hardware limits.
