BairesDev is seeking a Python Backend Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs powering complex applications. You will work with PostgreSQL and Python web frameworks to deliver high-performance solutions in a fully remote setting.

You will collaborate across teams, ensure security and reliability, and optimize code. 4+ years of Python backend experience and English proficiency are required; remote, flexible hours and global mentorship are provided.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of software engineering experience with a focus on Python backend development.
• Proven expertise in building scalable backend services and APIs using Python.
• Proficiency with Python web frameworks such as Django, FastAPI, or Flask.
• Deep understanding of database integration and management using PostgreSQL.
• Strong background in software engineering best practices, including code optimization and API design.
• Advanced proficiency in English.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and RESTful APIs using Python.
• Implement and optimize web applications using frameworks such as Django, FastAPI, or Flask.
• Design and manage relational database schemas and integrations, specifically with PostgreSQL.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define architectural standards and feature requirements.
• Ensure the performance, security, and reliability of backend systems through rigorous testing and optimization.
