Job summary

Tether is seeking an Automation QA Engineer to own desktop and mobile testing, combining automation with hands-on manual and exploratory testing. You will drive quality across web and mobile apps, collaborating with developers and product teams in a remote, globally distributed setup.

Required experience includes 4+ years in QA automation, CI/CD familiarity, and hands-on work with Playwright, WebdriverIO, and Appium.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in QA automation.
• Hands-on manual and exploratory testing experience.
• Experience running tests in CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions).
• Hands-on Playwright for desktop/web and WebdriverIO + Appium for mobile.
• Experience testing Electron and/or React Native apps, including on real devices.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain desktop and mobile test automation for critical user flows.
• Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines and keep them fast and reliable.
• Investigate failures, fix flaky tests, and manage test data and environments.
• Report clear, reproducible bugs and verify fixes.

• Perform hands-on functional, exploratory, and regression testing of new features.
• Choose manual or automated coverage based on risk; maintain regression suites.

• Choose manual or automated coverage based on risk; maintain regression suites.

Mandatory

• 4+ years in QA automation, plus hands-on manual and exploratory testing experience.
• Experience running tests in CI/CD pipelines (for example, GitHub Actions).
• Hands-on experience with Playwright for desktop or web, and WebdriverIO + Appium for mobile.
• Experience testing Electron and/or React Native apps, including on real iOS and Android devices.
• Experience using AI tools in QA and critically reviewing their output. Testing AI-powered applications is a plus.
