Job summary

Dow seeks a Legal Counsel in Buenos Aires, Argentina to serve as a trusted legal partner for cross-functional teams. You will provide practical, risk-based advice and handle a broad range of commercial matters while upholding high standards of ethics and integrity.

You will collaborate with colleagues across regions, manage outside counsel on complex matters, and contribute to continuous improvement of legal services within a large, global company.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Laws degree required.
• Fluent English is required; Portuguese is a plus.
• Qualified Argentine lawyer with ~5 years of experience in major law firms or multinationals.
• Experience in energy, petrochemical or oil & gas sectors or other highly regulated sectors desirable.
• Strong drafting, negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to provide business-focused legal counsel.

Responsibilities

• Provide practical, business-oriented legal advice to business and functional teams across a broad range of matters, balancing legal risk with business objectives.
• Draft, review, negotiate, and interpret a wide range of commercial, procurement and other legal documents.

As Legal Counsel, you will serve as a key legal partner, providing practical, risk-based legal advice that enables the Company to achieve its strategic objectives while maintaining the highest standards of ethics, compliance, and integrity.

In this role, you will work closely with colleagues across commercial, functional, and business teams to address a broad range of legal matters, manage risk, and support business growth across the region.
