Job summary

AGs Youth Soccer Club is seeking a skilled mobile developer to lead an offline-first iOS/Android app from initial project setup through public release on App Store and Google Play. You will review diffs, write tests, and decide on sync, storage, and release strategies in collaboration with a backend counterpart.

The role emphasizes offline-first design, performance on low-end devices, and direct communication with the client team using written risk notes and tradeoffs.

Qualifications

• 4+ years building mobile apps, with React Native releases on App Store and Google Play.
• Offline-first architecture with local storage, queued writes and retry logic.
• Strong English for client communications and risk notes.

Responsibilities

• Set up developer accounts, signing, CI builds and testing tracks.
• Build local storage, write queue and retry logic for offline use.
• Define and agree sync and upload APIs with backend developer.
• Implement phone-number sign-in via SMS and push notifications with SMS fallback.
• Handle camera capture and e-signature flows with versioned records.
• Optimize startup time, memory, and app size on low-end devices.
• Manage store submissions, privacy disclosures and monitor crash/sync issues.
