Job summary

Prometeo Talent is seeking a Data Analyst (Machine Learning) to join our client's global team. You will turn large-scale consumer and retail data into clear, actionable metrics using SQL and Python to build and validate models.

Ideal candidates range from recent graduates with a quantitative background to mid-level analysts, with excellent English communication and the ability to translate technical results for stakeholders. This role is 100% remote for LATAM.

Qualifications

• 0–4 years of experience in Data Analysis or similar roles; entry-level to mid-level candidates welcome.
• Advanced English (written and spoken).
• Foundational to intermediate SQL with JOIN logic, aggregations, and CASE WHEN.
• Python scripting for data cleaning and processing, with pandas proficiency.
• Familiarity with modeling libraries like scikit-learn or statsmodels for predictive modeling.
• Experience handling messy text fields and data normalization.
• Bachelor’s degree as listed in qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Write, optimize, and execute SQL queries to extract data from relational databases and cloud data warehouses.
• Develop, run, and validate machine learning, predictive, or statistical models.
• Slice, unpivot, and aggregate raw data to calculate core metrics like household penetration and market share.
• Build and maintain clean data tables and views feeding dashboards and reports.
• Review query outputs, perform data audits, and ensure data integrity.
• Use filtering to segment data and identify tracking cohorts.
• Clean, parse, and categorize unstructured or semi-structured text data.
• Translate technical results into clear summaries for stakeholders in English.
