Darwoft is seeking a Senior React Native Engineer (iOS-focused) to join our remote-first LATAM team. You will own mobile architecture, deliver cross‑platform features, and enhance the iOS experience for a SportsTech platform enabling venue discovery, booking, and digital access management.

• 8+ years of software development experience, including 5+ years with React Native.
• Strong proficiency in React Native, TypeScript, and JavaScript.
• Production-ready iOS apps, Xcode and App Store deployment knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a cross-platform mobile app using React Native and TypeScript, focused on iOS.
• Build intuitive booking, scheduling, and venue discovery experiences.

About the Role

We're looking for a Senior React Native Engineer with a strong iOS focus to help build an innovative mobile platform that transforms how people access sports facilities, book activities, and connect with other players.

The application will combine sports venue discovery, reservations, digital access management, and participant safety into a seamless mobile experience.

A key objective is to improve how sports facilities manage physical access, verify participants, and create safer environments for everyone using the platform.

You'll contribute to the product from its early development stages, taking ownership of mobile architecture, technical decisions, and application quality, with particular emphasis on the iOS ecosystem, performance, and user experience .

What You'll Be Doing

• Develop and maintain a cross-platform mobile application using React Native and TypeScript , with a primary focus on iOS.
• Build intuitive booking, scheduling, and sports facility discovery experiences.
• Implement digital access management, participant verification, and secure check-in functionalities.
• Integrate authentication, authorization, and security mechanisms to protect users and their information.
• Work with iOS-specific capabilities, native modules, device permissions, and platform integrations.
• Integrate REST APIs, payment gateways, geolocation services, and push notifications.
• Collaborate with backend engineers to support real-time availability and reservation management.
• Optimize application performance, stability, and user experience, particularly on iOS devices.
• Contribute to mobile architecture, testing, code reviews, and engineering best practices.
• Manage iOS builds, signing, provisioning profiles, TestFlight testing, and App Store releases.

What You Bring

• 8+ years of software development experience , including 5+ years working with React Native.
• Advanced proficiency in React Native, TypeScript, and JavaScript .
• Strong hands-on experience building, deploying, and maintaining production-ready iOS applications .
• Solid understanding of the iOS ecosystem, Xcode, CocoaPods, app signing, provisioning, and App Store deployment.
• Experience with React Native architecture, navigation, reusable components, and state management solutions such as Redux Toolkit or Zustand.
• Strong knowledge of REST API integrations, authentication, and secure session management.
• Experience integrating native iOS capabilities, third-party SDKs, push notifications, and geolocation services.
• Knowledge of mobile performance optimization, debugging, and automated testing.
• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and mobile application release processes.
• Ability to work independently, make technical decisions, and contribute to product architecture.
• Strong communication skills and a product-oriented mindset.

Nice to Have

• Native iOS development experience using Swift or SwiftUI .
• Experience with booking platforms, marketplaces, or SportsTech applications.
• Knowledge of digital access control, QR-based check-in, NFC, or identity verification.
• Experience with Apple-specific capabilities such as Apple Wallet, Sign in with Apple, or Core Location.
• Experience integrating payment solutions such as Stripe or Apple Pay.
• Familiarity with Firebase, Expo, or EAS.
• Experience with real-time applications using WebSockets.
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or Claude Code.
