Talan is seeking an experienced Backend Developer with strong Apache Spark and Scala expertise to join our global team. You will develop and maintain backend solutions alongside the squad across the full development lifecycle.

The role emphasizes working in an Agile environment, using Spark, Scala, PL/SQL and Control-M, with 100% remote options and opportunities for professional growth within a multicultural, international setting.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of professional experience with Apache Spark and Scala.
• Solid experience with PL/SQL.
• Experience with Control-M.
• Experience in Agile development environments.

Responsibilities

• Analyse and implement user stories and technical requirements.
• Develop and maintain backend solutions using Apache Spark and Scala.
• Participate in the full SDLC from development to testing and production validation.
• Develop and execute unit and integration tests.
• Collaborate with the Agile squad to meet timelines.
• Support production validation and deployment activities.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues as needed.
• Work according to Agile ceremonies and continuous improvement.
