Job summary

Bionic Talent is seeking an AI-first Web Developer to manage full-cycle website projects for US cannabis clients. You will design, build, migrate, and troubleshoot sites, leveraging AI daily to optimize workflows and automate repetitive tasks.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years of experience, strong WordPress/Elementor skills, and a track record of handling high-volume multi-site projects in a remote, asynchronous team. This is a fully remote role with activities aligned to EST hours.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional web development experience, including hands-on experience prior to the emergence of modern AI tools.
• Strong design sense with a portfolio of visually appealing websites.
• Proven ability to manage a high volume of websites simultaneously in an agency or multi-client setting.
• Deep proficiency with WordPress and Elementor.
• Experience with non-WordPress CMS platforms (Shopify, PrestaShop, Drupal, or cannabis platforms like Blaze/Treez).
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript with an understanding of underlying code structures.
• Active daily use of AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor) to speed up code creation and debugging.
• Clear written English communication skills and comfort working in asynchronous, remote teams.

Responsibilities

• Design and build websites and landing pages from Figma mockups to polished WordPress/Elementor pages.
• Leverage AI tools daily to accelerate workflows and automate tasks.
• Handle high-volume ongoing maintenance and change requests across client sites.
• Troubleshoot and debug complex issues across CMS environments using PHP, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Adapt web designs to fit diverse brand guidelines, including cannabis clients.
• Work with cannabis-specific CMSs (Blaze, Treez) and online menus (Dutchie, Jane, COVA, Breadstack, Blaze, Treez).
• Assist with site migrations, DNS setups, Cloudflare configurations, and reverse-proxy setups.
• Execute technical SEO configurations (GA4, GTM, schema, redirects).
• Create detailed technical documentation for site builds.
