Bechtel in Buenos Aires Corporate Office seeks a senior leader to direct engineering strategy and execution for the Argentina growth. You will lead a team, interpret, organize, and coordinate engineering aspects for complex projects, ensuring alignment with scope and budget.

The role requires a bachelor's or master's degree and 13–19 years of relevant experience, plus experience in 3D model environments, cross-office work, and knowledge of AACE/FEL standards. English proficiency is important.

Responsabilidades

• Develop engineering capabilities, implement project delivery standards, oversee technical governance and ensure alignment with regulatory requirements.
• Act as strategic partner to business and project leadership, building a high-performing engineering organization and managing technical risks.
• Responsible for multiple small projects or designated medium to large sized complex engineering assignments within a global business unit.
• Provide technical guidance in organizing, executing, and coordinating assignments.
• Participate in project planning to provide technical guidance in engineering and construction reviews of proposals.
• Contribute to and own engineering elements of project capital estimates (proposals and execution) quantities and budgets.
• Review major changes or deviations in project scope, material quantities, budget or schedule and assist with defining changes and budget adjustments.
• Coordinate engineering efforts with Project Manager, Procurement, Construction, Startup, ES&H and Project Controls.
• Direct the preparation of project studies, reports, forecasts, and plant data book.

Job Summary:

In this role, you will lead the engineering strategy and execution framework supporting the company's establishment and growth in Buenos Aires Corporate Office. In this role, you will lead a team and interpret, organize, execute, and coordinate the engineering technical aspects for complex projects. Your technical guidance and recommendations will ensure engineering aspects meet project requirements and remain within scope and budget.

Major Responsibilities:

• Responsible for developing engineering capabilities, implementing project delivery standards, overseeing technical governance, and ensuring alignment with corporate engineering practices and local regulatory requirements.
• Acting as a strategic partner to business and project leadership, building a high‑performing engineering organization, managing technical risks, and enabling the successful pursuit and execution of projects in Argentina.
• Responsible for multiple small projects or designated medium to large sized complex engineering assignments (program)within a global business unit.
• Possessing full technical responsibility for interpreting, organizing, executing, and coordinating assignments.
• Participating in project planning prior to proposals to provide technical guidance in the engineering and construction review of proposals.
• Providing input to and owns the engineering elements of a project capital estimate (proposals and execution) quantities and budgets.
• Reviewing major changes or deviations in project scope, project material quantities, budget or schedule, and assists particularly with defining the change, obtaining accurate estimates of the hours involved, and recommending budget adjustment.
• Ensuring engineering efforts with Project Manager, Procurement, Construction, Startup, Environmental Safety and Health (ES&H) and Project Controls.
• Directing the preparation of project studies, reports, forecasts, special engineering reports and plant data book.

Education and Experience Requirements:

Requires bachelor's or master's degree (or international equivalent) and 13‑15 years of relevant experience or 17‑19 years of relevant work experience.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

• General M&M industry experience (preferred).
• 2 or more years of experience as Project Engineer Manager or Project Area Manager.
• Experience in M&M engineering projects developed in 3D model environment.
• Site or operational experience related to M&M business (desirable).
• Experience in projects executed with different engineering offices (workshare) (desirable).
• Experience in projects in all phases (Conceptual, Pre‑feasibility, Feasibility, Detail) (desirable).
• Knowledge in AACE and FEL standards.
• Medium to Advanced English level.
