Tether is seeking an Automation QA Engineer to own automated testing for desktop and mobile apps, while performing manual testing as needed.

You will build and maintain test suites, integrate tests into CI/CD (GitHub Actions), investigate failures, and collaborate with developers to ensure testability and high quality releases across platforms including Electron and React Native. Experience with AI tools in QA and appetite for testing AI-powered applications is a plus.

Formación

• 4+ years in QA automation with hands-on manual and exploratory testing.
• Experience running tests in CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions or similar).
• Hands-on experience with desktop/web automation using Playwright and mobile with WebdriverIO/Appium.

About the job

We’re looking for an Automation QA Engineer with strong automation skills who also takes ownership of manual testing for our desktop and mobile applications.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain desktop and mobile test automation for critical user flows.
• Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines and keep them fast and reliable.
• Investigate failures, fix flaky tests, and manage test data and environments.
• Report clear, reproducible bugs and verify fixes.
• Work with developers and product on testability and acceptance criteria.
• Perform hands-on functional, exploratory, and regression testing of new features.
• Choose manual or automated coverage based on risk; maintain regression suites.

Mandatory:

• 4+ years in QA automation, plus hands-on manual and exploratory testing experience.
• Experience running tests in CI/CD pipelines (for example, GitHub Actions).
• Hands-on experience with Playwright for desktop or web, and WebdriverIO + Appium for mobile.
• Experience testing Electron and/or React Native apps, including on real iOS and Android devices.
• Experience using AI tools in QA and critically reviewing their output. Testing AI-powered applications is a plus.
