Jobtailor is seeking a backend engineer to develop scalable Python code for data-intensive, AI-enabled content platforms. You will implement AI features, including RAG pipelines, and integrate LLMs within applications.

The role involves cloud-native backend design on Google Cloud, deploying with Cloud Run, GKE, and Cloud Functions, and maintaining end-to-end code lifecycles using Terraform and CI/CD. The ideal candidate has 2-3 years of backend experience, strong Python and web framework

Formación

2-3 years of backend development experience or relevant academic/project work.
Strong Python skills and familiarity with Python web frameworks.
Experience with FastAPI, Flask, or Django; async programming a plus.
Basic understanding of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and related services.
Interest in AI/ML and integrating LLM features into apps.

Responsabilidades

Develop clean, maintainable Python code for high-scale platforms and data-driven apps.
Assist in building AI features including RAG pipelines and LLM integrations.
Design scalable backend architectures on GCP using Cloud Run, GKE and Cloud Functions.
Document technical designs translating business needs into backend components.

Develop clean, maintainable, and efficient Python code for high-scale content platforms and data-intensive applications
Assist in building and deploying AI features, including RAG pipelines and LLM integrations using Vertex AI
Design and configure scalable backend architectures on Google Cloud Platform using Cloud Run, GKE, and Cloud Functions
Participate in creating Technical Design Documents and translating business requirements into backend components
Manage the full code lifecycle from local development to production using Terraform and CI/CD pipelines
Collaborate with US-based product owners and European delivery teams
Apply best practices in API design, security, and automated testing
Develop and maintain backend systems powering AI-driven enterprise applications for North American clients

Requirements

2-3 years of professional experience in backend development, or relevant academic/project experience with a strong interest in backend engineering and web services
Good understanding of Python
Familiarity with web frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, or Django
Basic understanding of asynchronous programming is a plus
Basic understanding or hands-on exposure to Google Cloud Platform
Familiarity with Cloud Run, App Engine, BigQuery, or Cloud SQL is a plus
Interest in AI/ML technologies and curiosity about integrating LLMs into applications
Exposure to LLMs, APIs, or vector databases is a plus
Basic understanding of Docker
Familiarity with cloud-based development environments
Exposure to Kubernetes or Terraform is a plus
Good English communication skills
Ability to collaborate effectively with team members and ask questions when needed
Flexibility for early-morning syncs
