Job summary

Bluelight is a leading software consultancy delivering high-impact applications for clients across the US and LATAM. We seek a seasoned Project Manager to drive multiple software initiatives, coordinate nearshore teams, and manage risks and milestones with rigor.

You will collaborate with clients and engineers, maintain schedules, and ensure quality and regulatory alignment in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience managing software development projects.
• Experience delivering against fixed external deadlines with critical-path and buffer management.
• Experience managing client dependency registers with dates, owners, escalation paths.
• Experience with risk registers and change-control processes.
• Experience overseeing scope, budget, resourcing and timelines across multiple workstreams.

Responsibilities

• Oversee multiple software development projects and ensure on-time delivery.
• Coordinate third-party vendor dependencies and contract/credential timelines.
• Lead Agile/Scrum or Kanban teams and manage milestones and status reporting.
• Translate technical concepts for non-technical clients and executives.
• Maintain risk registers, dependency tracking, and budgets across projects.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory or statutory deadlines when required.

Responsibilities & Requirements

• 5+ years professional experience managing software development projects
• Experience delivering against fixed, immovable external deadlines (e.g., product launches, trade shows) with critical-path and buffer management
• Experience managing a client dependency register with required-by dates, owners, and escalation paths
• Experience with formal risk registers and change-control processes
• Experience managing project scope, budget, resourcing, and timelines across multiple concurrent workstreams
• Experience coordinating third-party vendor dependencies (contracts, credentials, integration timelines)
• Experience running Agile/Scrum or Kanban teams
• Experience with milestone/gate-based acceptance criteria and client-facing status reporting
• Experience with project management and tracking tools (Jira, Asana, or similar)
• Strong stakeholder management skills, including experience translating technical concepts for non-technical clients and executives
• Experience identifying, tracking, and mitigating project risks and dependencies
• Substantial background working with large, complex systems and distributed engineering teams
• Ability to overlap US business hours
• Bachelor's degree required
